First of all: DO NOT USE VLC!
Q: Why do you guys only link to mkv? I want mah XviDzzz!!!
A: As you might have noticed we only provide links to h264 videos in mkv containers. Since h264 is superior in every single way to xvid, we are supporting only that codec. If you want to play it on your media extender in a format other than mkv, follow this tutorial on how to do so.
Q: What are codecs and how do I play the videos correctly?
A: Codecs are the necessary "drivers" or pieces of software to play your videos. They make sure that the video file is converted into something you can see. To play the videos you will need CCCP. You can download that here. It's free and easy to install.
Q: I'm on Vista/Windows7 x64 and it doesn't play correctly or there are no thumbnails.
A: Playing the videos with a 32 bit codec is perfectly fine. However, you will HAVE to use a 32 bit player. CCCP comes with MPC in 32-bit. So use that. As for the thumbnails, there is unfortunately nothing we can do about that. To generate them you will have to open a 32 bit explorer through a 32bit application. uTorrent usually does that. If your thumbnails keep having the same image, go to your haali media splitter and in the last option change the offset to around 30000ms. Other than that, there is not solution we know of. Download the DivX Tech Preview. That will generate MKV thumbs on any system.
Q: The videos are lagging and are really slow.
A: That's probably because your computer can't handle the load. First of all we recommend upgrading. There is no reason for you to have internet access and be able to download anime and still have a computer that can't handle h264. If you have a pretty fast computer, then try closing cpu and/or memory eating applications. If THAT doesn't work, then try using DivX 7 or CoreAVC.
Q: The subtitles don't show!
A: Go to Start->Combined Community Codec Pack->Filters-> FFDshow Video Decoder. Go to subtitles, enable it, enable process full image and check read embeded subtitles.WIndows 7 users-> Open MPC->Go to options->Click on External Filters->Add Filter->DirectVobSub(auto-loading version).
Q: Subtitles appear twice!
A: This is an easy fix. You can do exactly the opposite of what I described above, or you can go into your media player settings and disable the subtitles in there.
Q: How do I download these shows in the first place?
A: For the DDL's use your browser built in downloader. For torrents use uTorrent,Bitcomet or Vuze
Q: When will [insert show name] be released?
A: We don't sub... we don't know. As soon as possible is all we can say.
Q: Why did you drop [insert show name]?
A: Either we got a DMCA take down notice or we felt that the show sucked bad-ass, or one of our uploaders decided to get some cukeez to munchz.
Q: I'm getting a strange MySQL error when I click an episode!
A: Don't worry! That's perfectly normal. Well not really, but we are running on software that needed heavy modification to run on the site. Therefore errors might pop up. If they still appear after refreshing, please drop a note on the forums by either PM-ing me or any other Admin or by simply posting a thread in the Help! forum.
Q: I'm clicking [insert series here] but I end up at the wrong page!
A: Like I said, we are running experimental software. If that happens, drop us a note and we will fix it. It's a problem with our SEF system which needs occasional refreshing. We are working on scheduled refreshes.
Q: Something really bad happened and it's not in the FAQ!
A: Please let us know at the Help Forum. That's why it's there. If you spilled soda on your mom's carpet we unfortunately can't help you.
