My dear fellow Otakus,
The end of January marks how fast our site has been growing. We jumped from 200-300 visitors a day to 600-1000 visitors a day. I obviously know that this has to do with the fact that we are being linked to from Tokyo Tosho, Jishaku Tosho and Nyaatorrents but that doesn't change the fact that the site is doing well. People are commenting (which is awesome), and are also reporting dead links (which is even better)! Our community is growing and we make new otaku friends every day :D. Our forum has well over a thousand posts and we have more than 100 members. All of that in under half a year of the site's inception. Unbelievable.
However, I hate to rain on your parade but we are in the need of help. We need people who can upload older Anime (non-latest) and post them to the site, we need a programmer who is willing to help us out with automatic most of the site's inner workings, and we need money to buy ourselves a dedicated server. I noticed yesterday that our shared hosting could not handle the load. So please donate!
Also, I'm working on my upload box down in my basement. With that I can queue broken links from previous submissions and replace them. Unfortunately my upload speed is like 256 kb/s so that will take a while. I'll probably run that stuff at night.
In any case, thanks for being involved in Animekyun's growing community, and the staff hopes everyone will enjoy their stay!
