Getting kinda tired of the forums being just about posting pics and youtube vids. (part of the reason why I left for a bit) This thread will be for the users to rate and discuss what shows they watched this past season.

If all goes well I will make a Season In Review thread after each season. Basically right down the show(s) you watched and rate them 1-5 (5 being the highest) and right a small summery of why you rated it that and what you though was great about the show and what you didn't like or could have been improved. Follow my reviews as examples.

Ratings System: 5 - Exellent, 4 - Good, 3 - Average, 2 - Meh, 1 - Crapola

Rules
1) Ongoing shows such as Bleach and Fairy Tail should not be listed however shows that longer then the normal 12 or 13 episodes but not ongoing can be listed.
2) No spoilers.
3) No show summeries.
  • Ben-To I enjoyed the story very much and the action was prety decent as well. Just the premess of the show, school kids fighting (litterly) over half priced store bento's, is ridiculous enough to make my laugh. Then added with actual comedy and just a pintch of ecchi I was sold. Over this is a great "light" (no heavy plot or drama) anime that is fun and enjoyable to watch. Score: 4 out of 5
  • Bakuman 2 I know a lot of people were complaining about how boring the first season was but I rather enjoyed it. I enjoyed seeing the process of how manga was created and I really felt myself caring for all the characters and how each one struggled to get there respected manga serialized. Season 2 just continues from where the first season left off with more hurdels for the character to pass in order to advance their careers. This season was a little more funnier then the first which I enjoyed very much and the character development was better and focused a little more of the secondary characters as well. Score: 4 out of 5
  • Boku ha Tomodachi ga Sukunai I loved this show. The artwork is gorgeuos and the characters were all unique and funny in their own ways. A great light anime to watch for laughs. The only downside of this anime is that I wished there was more. Score: 4 out of 5
  • C3 I really enjoyed this anime. The contrast of the artwork style and the seriousness of the content was rather great and the concept of the anime was rather well done as well. I did enjoy the characters for the most part but really drew me too it was the dark morbid undertones of this anime. Score: 4 out of 5
  • Fate/zero I am not a huge fan of Fate/stay the Night but I did enjoy the serious enough to give this series a shot and for the most part it did not dispoint me. I like the concept of summoning mythological being to fight for you and i do enjoy anime with magic in it. Over all a good watch. Score: 3 out of 5
  • Guilty Crown This anime is still airing and will continue on into the Winter Anime Season. All I can say is amazing show. The characters, the powers, the music, I love it all. This show is only half way though and it's just barely getting started. I haven't felt this way about an anime since Macross Frontier (and that's my favorite anime) I very much look forward to the second half of this anime. Score: 5 out of 5
  • Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon Seriously... wtf was this??? The first episode started of so promissing... then it got worse and worse every new episode. Don't get me wrong the combat was pretty kick ass and that's really what kept me watching it for as long as I did. But it was hard to understand the story at times and, dare I say it, the lack of ecchi killed it. I would have understood if this was just another "eye candy" ecchi show but it wasn't and for that it failed. I dropped the show halfway through. Score: 2 out of 5
  • Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!! Pretty generic combat school/harem anime. Generic side appart it did have some pretty funny characters and scenes. I am kinda surprised I watched the whole series. Score: 2 out of 5
  • Maken-Ki! As a reader of the manga I was very dissapointed in this anime. It basically was just turned into an average run of the mill ecchi show, which is a huge let down becuase the manga has a kick ass first story arc with awesome powers which the anime just failed to deliver. The animation on the fight scenes were bad imo, it seemed like all the money for the show went to draw ecchi shots and that's it. I continued to watch the show out of respect for Takeda Hiromitsu, the original creator, but after episode 10 or so I just couldn't do it anymore and dropped the show. Score: 1 out of 5
  • Mobile Suit Gundam AGE I am a pretty big Gundam fan but for the life of me I could not get past the retro anime style and dropped the show at episode 2. I can't really give a show a bad rating based on the artwork alone (the story could have been good) so I will remain neutral. Score: 3 out of 5
  • Nurarihyon no Mago Sennen Makyou The first season was interisting enough to keep my interist for the second season. Although I did enjoy the season I will be the first to admit that the season kinda did drag on in the middle. Even with that being said new powers and allies and a kick ass enemy kept me coming back to each episode. Score: 4 (probably more 3.75) out of 5
  • Shakugan no Shana Final Love this show. Loved the first two seasons. Love Shana's voice actress. Not much more I can say about this with out sounding like a raving fan-boy. Score: 5 out of 5
  • Working'!! Funny ass show. Was kinda on the fence after the first season (some episodes were funny but some were just okay) but the second season hit a home run. Good luls and quirky characters had me laughing every episode. Score: 4 out of 5

How did I break my own rule? There is no need for summeries as these are for people that have seen the animes already and are just rating them. Also the no summeries is basically to stop people from writing long summeries and getting away from what this thread is about, the reviews. Of course in hind sight it probably doesn't even matter as no one is going to review the anime they watched leavinf this thread dead...

that may be true but under ben-to "just the premess of the show, school kids fighting (litterly) over half priced store bento's" sounds like a summary and then later in post "Pretty generic combat school/harem anime" that is type summerizing tho i do hope people use this thread to do its point but i see people who never have seen the show coming here to see what's good to watch or only have seen some of the shows coming here so longer reviews may not be so bad and as you said its a review so it shouldn't be just a summary of the show we post that in the anime category anyways :/

Your definition of a summery is a little off to me. A summery would be something you find on ANN or MAL, something that gives character names and goes more in depth on what the story is about and its plot.

I applaud your efforts Darkside. You are a true internet hero!

However, I don't have time to watch any anime but I must say, from what I've seen of Guilty Crown, I am very impressed by this show. I might end up watching this. It looks very appealing as far as the artwork goes and from what I have heard, the story line is also kickass (not to mention what I have seen during screencapping).

About the picture and youtube thing you mentioned: I AM working on a more community driven experience. I just need time to get the ball rolling. Currently I am rewriting saeko's engine and from there on I can slowly start to build the community I want. These review can then go onto the main site and will be intertwined with the forums. In 1 word: It's going to be epic. All I am asking of you guys to just hang in there.

Well they are more indepth and complete summaries of the story and if that was done on a movie it would be called a review and they would put their 2 cents in at the end that being said you must have pretty high standards then :P

AHH I'm always one BD release length behind actual series for ecchi shows.

I'm only watching mirai nikki as its realeased atm, but I must say if I was to (( avoiding the -terms- in contention )) ... "amalgamate my feelings" about mirai nikki, 5/5, I am completly addicted, OP is excellant (thanks @Kaizer for getting me started on it, hence why some of the youtubes are good !!! ) I'm a sucker for any competative life/death struggle and well serious story lines. As for the twist to what would otherwise be a typical fight to survive and let romance blosom show ... the yandere physco twist makes it infinitly better, but at the same time I cant help but find myself thinking yukki is a bit of a twat to her, I am totally on her side.

Highlights: Phsyko kid, devious plots, pink hair, and the most gloriously violent and poassionate individules pitted against each other. Ok maybe I'm being a little melodramatic ... Just watch it !

Appologises Darkside, as this show has yet to finish XD

I also would like to try something different, i.e., evaluating the anime I watch (although I am still new to this site and still find it nice to share images--especially erotic ones!!--pervert always!!).

Evlauating anime is not easy for me. I probably need to read others reviews more to see how they do it. For this, however, I tried to follow what @Darkside8169 has done above. This is my first time trying to judge or score something and be public about it. Well here it is:
  • Ben-To The competitiveness between rival groups and individuals, plus the ecchi side themes (very funny at times) kept this story going for me . Score: 3.5 out of 5
  • Bakuman 2 Also watched the first season, therefore had to continue with the second. I was pleasantly surprised that they further developed more characters into this show, making it more interesting. Wish it explored more ecchi within the relationships, but that's not what this is about. Good show, however. Score: 3.5 out of 5 at this point. - It's still airing.
  • Boku ha Tomodachi ga Sukunai This show was great. Hope to see a second season with further relationship developments and more ecchi! Score: 4 out of 5
  • C3 I wasn't too sure about this anime, the conflicts were not well defined and background was vague for what was happening. If they had explored the background of the conflicts in more depth, such as Kore wa Zombie, it would have been better. Score: 2.5 out of 5
  • Fate/zero Perhaps if I had watched previous seasons, I would have understood more, but some of the characters weren't as I thought they were. Didn't Rider have purple hair and was female? Castor female as well? Anyway, the comedy and insights brought out by Rider and his master is what kept me watching this. Castor was sick. Score: 1.5 out of 5
  • Guilty Crown Tough to explain without being a spoiler. Score standing at: 3.5 out of 5 - Could go higher as season progresses!
  • Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon Difficult to follow, just watched in hopes to see nice ecchi shots. Score: 2 out of 5
  • Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!! Although I like harem anime, I always find myself getting frustrated that the main protagonist just doesn't take a little more advantage of the situation! Score: 2.5 out of 5 Higher score if BD removes censoring.
  • Maken-Ki! Nice female forms in this one, but the same old story when it comes to the main character. Just enough ecchi to be 2 out of 5
  • Working'!! I liked this show. It was funny, and had multiple characters that were developed well. More ecchiness would have given it 5 of 5, so I have to score it a 4.
Perhaps more people would rate if they were just given a form in which they could enter the number 1-5 and one blank line for comment, if they have one. Such as this:

Anime Title: Score (1-5 (worst to best)) Comment?
Guilty Crown 3.5 Main character falls below expectation.

God I need to get that reviewing system up and running. Still haven't started the design :( It would add so much to the site
