I think i have a healthy obsession with anime+manga but there are just too many extremists in japan (or anywhere for that matter) for it to be even considered a normal hobby likes sports, music, arts and crafts etc. You should be able to enjoy it all but not to the point where it's the ONLY thing you've got to do at the end of the day. That equals no life sir. Every hobby has it nutbags, its just that for obvious reasons the otaku clan stands out because 1. their awesome and 2. its easier for them to stand out as its purely and enthusiasts, kind of thing and its not common worldwide, like the others can be. Society will deem something uncommon as the weird, that's all.
To comment on this vid, i was roflcoptering on my ceiling, i can't tell whether they were taking the piss or not, but probably both. It's just lols and yeah japan otakus should learn to hold back a bit, but then again we wouldn't have these interesting stories to read/hear about!
