Plot Summary: Advanced placement into a school of higher grade proof-reading is determined by the results of the Promotion Test strictly for class type. Ranging from A class with the best facilities anyone can offer all the way down to F Class which is composed of low dining tables, rotten tatami mats and other worn out facilities. Students can change classes by competing using the Examination Summons Battle system or ESB. Students summon characters with their equivalent test mark scores and use them to compete with other classes.

Yeah, at first I thought this was going to be a kid type anime but man was I wrong. I was laughing my ass off every episode.

Links for episodes 9-12 have been added. Episode 13 is coming soon. It just aired in Japan on 3/31/10 so as soon as [gg] gets it posted I will get it for you guys. Also season 2 has been confirmed! Baka and Test Sequel Listed on Official Website (ANN)

hmmm should i put this on my evergrowing watchlist? lol I haven't watched anime since sora no otoshimono ended :(

You know, I thought the same thing when I first looked it up. Thought it was a show for kids like Pokemon. Don't expect much action (the combat is all 'super deformed' type animation and doesn't last long) and that's really not the key point of the anime any ways. The best way to sum it up is as a slap stick comedy. There are so many hilarious scenes. The comedy is a lot of visual and fast talking dialog. It really just depends if you're into that sort of thing.

?! Come on man. Winter 2010 wasn't great, but there were definitely a few shows worth watching.

I must agree wholeheartedly on that one, I rarely had breathing time watching this show, due to all the laughing~
